What is APBC?

The Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC) series is an annual international forum for exploring research, development and novel applications in the field of bioinformatics. The aim of APBC is to bring together academia and industry to share knowledge and experiences, and to showcase innovations and achievements. It has been held since 2003 around Asia Pacific Regions (please refer to the Previous Meetings).

APBC 2020

The 18th Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Conference will be held in Seoul, Korea. The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers, academics, and industrial practitioners. APBC2020 invites high quality original full papers on any topic related to bioinformatics and computational biology. The submitted papers must have not been published or under the consideration for publication in any other journal or at the conference. Accepted papers will be invited to be published in IEEE/ACM TCBB, BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Genomics, BMC Systems Biology, and Computational Biology and Chemistry following each journal's publication policy.

  • Although APBC is rescheduled later to August 2020, journal publication of accepted papers is moving on (full notification). (Feb. 18, 2020)
  • Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the conference organizing committee of APBC 2020 has decided to postpone the conference to Aug 18th-20th, 2020, for the safety issues of the APBC participants. (full notification)
